Meet Jomax and Judy Schmidt

Judy Schmidt is the word nerd behind Jomax - which joins the first names of her two children.

When you hire Jomax, you’re getting an award-winning writer and editor, and a long-time strategic corporate communications leader with experience at Fortune 500 companies Lockheed Martin and TD Bank. She also ran a successful beauty blog, BeautyJudy, for more than a decade.

Judy is a proven expert in internal communications, media relations, strategic integrated communications, crisis communications and executive communications. Prior to working in corporate communications, Judy worked in medical newspapers, writing for a physician audience and serving as managing editor of a news outlet for cardiologists. She started her career as a daily news reporter and columnist.

Her industries of expertise include financial services, healthcare, beauty and aerospace & defense.

When she isn’t working, Judy enjoys volunteering at The LGBT Center Orlando, reading, watching Outlander, cheering Philly sports, eating a steaming bowl of pho tai and being the world’s most okayest crocheter.

Judy received her master’s degree in writing and bachelor’s degree in journalism from Rowan University, N.J. She currently lives in Orlando, Fla., with her husband and children.
